
The 'Ups' of Two-up
I am often asked by fellow riders who cannot seem to convince their wives or girlfriends to ride with them, why I am “willing” to ride with my husband. I am not a tomboy, nor an adrenaline junkie. And while I have my M1 license and my husband does do some day rides on his own, on trips that tend to be scenic or where our route takes us places, we prefer to ride two-up so we get to see those things together. It is a mutual choice where the rider is comfortable taking passenger along, and the passenger is comfortable riding for that duration and both find that they get something enjoyable out of it.
